Seppe landde op een knappe 5de plek in de slopestyle, maar het niveau lag megahoog met Alek Oestreng die won. Halfpipe werd gedomineerd door Iouri Podladtchikov, ook hier hing de spanning in de lucht!

Oslo, Norway – February 19, 2012: The final day of the inaugural TTR 6Star World Snowboarding Championships played host to an amazing competition where Chas Guldemond (USA) and Spencer O’Brien (CAN) earned their 2012 Slopestyle World Champion titles. Chas and Spencer beat out an amazing group of riders today on the very progressive slopestyle course and were awarded $40,000 USD each for their outstanding riding. Sebastien Toutant (CAN) came in second place for the men followed by Seppe Smits (BEL) in third. On the women’s side, Jamie Anderson (USA) took second place and Enni Rukajarvi (FIN) finished in third.

The 10th anniversary of legendary week long Wängl Tängl snowboard, skateboard, music and art ‘Contest-ival’ will take place from the 17th to 24th of March, in its traditional home base of Mayrhofen, Austria.

De temperaturen staan op punt om een flinke duik te nemen en willen wij niet onopgemerkt laten voorbijgaan. Dus jas,broek,board,binding,boots,goggle,muts,thermisch ondergoed,……..In totaal voorzien we een 1 dames en 1 herensilhouette zoals afgebeeld op onderstaande foto’s die elk een retailwaarde hebben van om en bij de 1500 euro!!
Ondanks de stormachtige omstandigheden was het niveau megahoog in Davos. Canadees Mark Mc Morris pakte afgelopen weekend de eerste plek met sicke bs double cork 1260. Hij deed het net iets cleaner dan Eric Willet met dezelfde trick. Seppe verbaasde iedereen met een dikke cab 1440, wat ons betreft nog iets technischer en had eigenlijk wat meer punten mogen verdienen. In elk geval kon het feest losbarsten want hij pakt toch nog 10,000 dollar mee naar zijn volgende stop in Breck. Hij is hiermee ook geplaatst voor de snowboard world championships in Oslo.
