Oakley Sunglasses inspired by Shaun White
Oakley releases Holbrook, the second signature sunglasses inspired by Shaun White.
In the early 90’s, a small boy known as Shaun White was handed a snowboard. Since then, Shaun has a list of achievements he was only dreaming of as a six-year old. His career has been recently crowned by another Olympic gold medal – and a near perfect score in the halfpipe. Perfect scores in snowboarding go with perfect taste in sunglasses, which is why Shaun was so enthusiastic about designing his own frame. The result is Holbrook – additional testament that everything Shaun White touches turns to gold.
Shaun White awed spectators at the Halfpipe Final at the 2010 Winter Olympics. Knowing he could push the limits after his stellar first run, which would have secured him gold, he decided to go one better by pulling a Double McTwist 1260 out of his bag – a trick never before performed by a snowboarder. This second run earned him the highest score ever recorded in a halfpipe, proving once and for all, that Shaun White is in a class of his own. Snowboarding is not his only talent, however – the athlete is also known for being an excellent businessman and possessing exemplary taste.
What makes sunglasses good enough for the best snowboarder in the world? Shaun White’s Holbrook mixes style with optimal performance-elements that reflect his action-packed lifestyle. Polarized and Iridium lens options coupled with High Definition Optics fit into a lightweight frame that not only looks good, but also fits comfortably on the wearer’s face. Metal bolt accents on the frame add that unique touch that is completely Shaun inspired.
The result? Shaun White’s self-professed perfect glasses. High performance mixed with high style – just like the man himself.
